We've been repairing garage doors for so long, there's practically no type of problem we haven't already encountered and fixed. If you have some questions about these systems or any of their parts, then take a look at our FAQs below.
Which type of garage door rollers is the quietest?
The quietest garage door rollers are those covered with nylon or those with multiple ball bearings. When nylon comes in contact with steel it doesn't produce noise, and rollers with numerous ball bearings are generally more stable. You can also find nylon rollers with 7 or 10 ball bearings and these are the optimal choice for quiet operation.
Why is my garage door so noisy?
There are several reasons why your door could be making excessive noise. A common problem can be old opener motors. As they age, they often become louder. The drive-system is another possible culprit. Chain and screw drive units are known for being quite loud. Rollers can also create a lot of rattling as they degrade, and naturally, the springs will also start to squeak the more wear and tear damage they experience. Some of these components can be lubricated, but other ones will need to be replaced.
My remote control is not working, where can I get a new one?
You can always buy a new remote control from us. But it's worth checking the old one first to see if it can still be saved. Make sure that the problem is not actually with the opener by trying to open your door using the wall-mounted switch. Also, sometimes the issue with your remote is just a couple of dead batteries. If it's a technical problem, our technician may be able to fix your remote. If not, we'll simply replace it. Either way, you should give us a call.
